The Design Museum of Chicago's annual outdoor program creates an approachable and surprising celebration of Chicago’s outdoor spaces through a design lens. Field Day is an annual summer event that brings together thousands of Chicagoans to celebrate our environment, culture, and outdoor public spaces. 

Also, inspired by Art Design Chicago, we're showcasing an incredible Flag Exhibition featuring new work from designers and artists across Chicago.

Voices Embodied: Reverberations

July 13 to October 13, 2024

With its fifth iteration, Voices Embodied: Reverberations brings together 18 artists and designers who are locally, nationally and internationally based. The selected artists' works reflect individual and societal barriers, particularly in reference to disability and suggest ways to bring attention to them, tackle them, and reimagine how inclusivity and awareness can lead to a more empathic future where all voices and experiences are equally valued. 

Chicago Brownie– Pretty Cool

The Design Museum of Chicago is thrilled to announce - ‘Chicago Brownie’ a collaboration with Pretty Cool Ice Cream. In a celebration of Chicago’s rich cultural tapestry, five esteemed artists have been commissioned to design custom packaging for the new ‘Chicago Brownie’ pop. Join us for a preview of the flavor at Pretty Cool Ice Cream, where the designs by these talented artists will be showcased.
