Join the Design Museum of Chicago, Harry Bertoia Foundation, and Wright for a walking tour of Harry Bertoia’s timeless sculptures in the Chicago Loop. We will start the tour at Morningstar, where an absolutely gorgeous 12’ Bertoia dandelion hangs from the ceiling in an employee gathering space. Next, we will head to the Aon Center plaza to learn more about the stunning Bertoia tonals. Company hosts, who can explain the history of the pieces, will join the tours. Celia Bertoia of the Harry Bertoia Foundation and Tanner Woodford of the Design Museum of Chicago will also accompany the tour.

SOLVE — our exhibit in collaboration with The Mystery League — ends on March 31st. As we navigate and understand the world around us, human nature compels us to observe our environment, recognize patterns, adapt our thinking, solve problems, and answer questions. Designers learn from these natural tendencies to create puzzles that challenge us to see the world in new and different ways. Learn more by visiting before the end of the month.
We gearing up for an exhibition this fall, and need some help. Letters Beyond Form provides a deeper understanding of the role of letterforms and their makers in creating meaning, and explores how design serves different communities through an affirmation of identity- and care-based relationships.
We are seeking partners to help us launch our 2nd annual Field Day — an approachable and surprising celebration of Chicago’s outdoor spaces through a design lens. The event brings together thousands of Chicagoans to celebrate our environment, culture, and outdoor public spaces. (Image above: Go For It, Matthew Hoffman)
